Shelly Williams Company is a manufacturers’ representative headquartered in Richmond Virginia.  We specialize in high efficiency heating and cooling products with a concentration in energy recovery systems which enhance the end-users’ indoor environmental quality.  We offerour clients project budgeting and design assistance, training, commissioning and sales for all products that we represent.  Using regular training in our products and systems for our sales and support teams, we strive to stay on the leading edge of HVAC&R technology.  As a result we have become experts in the products that we represent, and that knowledge has translated into hundreds of successful projects. We pride ourselves on happy customers and a job well done.  Shelly Williams Company takes the extra steps to do proper customer training prior to installation, to monitor our jobs during construction, and to perform initial startup services to ensure owner satisfaction with the installed HVAC&R system. We have over 120 years of combined HVAC&R engineering and system sales experience with a Professional Engineers, a Certified Energy Manager, and LEED accredited professionals on staff.

We cover all areas of Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina with a variety of products.  We offer design assistance and sell products and systems to provide solutions that solve a variety of problems that exist in today’s buildings and facilities.  Many of our products incorporate energy conservation & energy recovery benefits into the hvac solutions as well.

Meet the Team

Shelly Williams

President

Shelly is a graduate of Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia. He attended The College of William and Mary and graduated from RPI/VCU with a degree in Engineering Technology-HVAC. He is a past president of the Richmond Chapter of ASHRAE and an active ASHRAE Life Member in the Richmond Chapter. After graduation, he was an HVAC/Plumbing design engineer for Ballou & Justice, Architects Engineers.

He was responsible for HVAC/Plumbing design on such projects as; Renovations to Virginia State Capitol, Renovations to The Rotunda at The University of Virginia, St. Mary’s Hospital, Richmond City Hall and Blue Cross-Blue Shield Corporate Headquarters. Over the past forty years Shelly has been in HVAC sales and sales management. He has represented major product lines such as; York, American Standard and Aaon. His sales has taken him throughout the state of Virginia.

Shelly is proud of his family and talks about them often. He enjoys talking and being with his friends whether business or social, and in his spare time he enjoys a round of golf.

Jeffrey D. Consroe

Vice President

Jeff is a 2005 graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia, he is a LEED accredited professional and a Certified Energy Manager. He began his career with Carrier as a Sales Engineer, and now works for Shelly Williams Company as a manufacturer’s representative specializing in the consulting engineer environment.  He has been an active member of the Roanoke ASHRAE chapter since 2005 and is currently the President.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoys fishing and the outdoors. He also enjoys working on any mechanical projects including cars and boats, woodworking, and construction projects centered around his cabin in Craig County VA. Jeff, his wife Alisha and their dog Beaster currently reside in the heart of the blue ridge mountains in Salem VA.

Dick Schini

Northern Virginia Territory Manager

Dick is a graduate of Towson State College in Towson, Maryland. He has thirty-eight years of sales experience, twelve of those in the HVAC market in Virginia. He has been Consumer Sales Manager for Richmond Power Equipment Company and has owned and operated his own software sales company.  His HVAC experience involves selling Liebert computer room support equipment, Calmac thermal storage and AAON.

Dick divides his time between his family (including two children and two grandchildren), his work, and his church, where he leads the Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study and serves on several Boards.  Golf and gardening don’t take up as much of his time as he would like.

Ken Shelden

North Carolina Territory Manager

Ken graduated from NC State University with a BS degree in a general engineering curriculum. He has worked in engineered systems sales and management for York and Carrier, spanning 39 years. He has managed sales offices in Virginia, Louisiana-Mississippi, Kentucky-Tennessee and North Carolina. His HVAC&R application experience has included almost all products from residential systems to chillers and custom air units.

Ken’s personal activities include time chasing his four grandchildren; Team Leader and Project Coordinator for NC Baptist Men – Disaster Relief; Bible Study Fellowship; Bay Leaf Baptist church board of deacons, and other committees. Ken has inactive licenses in Residential General Contracting and Home Inspections. Past interests include basketball, softball, skiing, tennis, sailing, golf and volunteer disaster relief efforts with Samaritan’s Purse.

Frank Garber

Inside Sales & Support

Frank is a Richmond native, graduated from Chesterfield County Public School in 1965. After high school graduated from RPI/VCU in 1967 with a associated degree in mechanical Engineering Technolgy.

After college Frank started in a mechanical career putting in 30 years with several mechanical contractors and the last 15 years with Hanover Engineers where he retired.

Frank has been active with ASHRAE Richmond over the years and was Richmond chapters president from 1985 thru 1986.

Frank enjoys the outdoors, is an avid rabbit hunter and a breader of Beagles.

Jan Jones

Office Manager

Jan attended Kings College, Briarcliff Manor, NY with the idea of becoming a Psychologist. Although she never completed that goal, she has always loved people and worked in some line of customer service. She began her work career with New Jersey Bell Telephone Service in customer service. After moving to Virginia, she worked for a real estate company and then moved on to Fidelity Bankers Life Insurance Company where she worked in customer service.

Jan then took seven years off to raise two children. Upon her return to the work world, she became a property and casualty agent for a small insurance agency. She then had an opportunity to move to Chubb Insurance and became a Customer Service Manager over 17 service reps and worked there for 13 years. Jan has worked in the HVAC field for almost 13 years both in customer service, parts sales and bookkeeping.

Pat Lewis

Inside Sales and Marketing Manager

Debbie graduated high school in Richmond, Virginia and moved to Canada in 1991. She worked there for several years in the Purchasing/Transportation field. Upon returning to Virginia in 2003, she worked with GE Appliances as an office administrator applying her customer service skills to assist in daily operations. She found a new start in the window coverings industry with local a supplier of solar protection fabrics, where she multitasked a variety of duties with the company. Moving on to new horizons, she now works for Shelly Williams Company as an office administrator.

Outside of work, Debbie has a passion for music, cooking and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets, Harley and Mitzie.
